05 Jun Cooperative Principle #7: Concern for Community Through Youth Sports
At Southwest Electric, one of the principles that guides everything we do is Cooperative Principle #7 — Concern for Community. We believe in supporting the communities we serve and investing in opportunities that help local youth learn, grow and succeed.
This spring, Southwest Electric was proud to sponsor two youth baseball teams. In Franklin County, we sponsored the Tigers, and in Lincoln County, our name was proudly displayed on a team in the Lincoln Civic Center Recreational League.
Both teams enjoyed outstanding seasons filled with hard work, teamwork, sportsmanship and fun. We are grateful for the opportunity to support these young athletes as they developed their skills, built friendships and represented their communities on and off the field.
Youth sports play an important role in teaching valuable life lessons such as dedication, responsibility and teamwork. By supporting local recreation programs, Southwest Electric is helping strengthen the communities we proudly serve.
Congratulations to the Tigers and the Southwest Electric team on a great season! We look forward to continuing to support our local youth and communities for years to come.
