08 Jul Port Gibson High School Energy Academy’s Summer Engagement Program

We were excited to offer real life experiences and hands-on application of the electric industry at Port Gibson High School in June as students enrolled in the Port Gibson High School’s Energy Academy were exposed to five different stations. This is part of their Summer Engagement Program. They learned how electric power is generated and transmitted to the substation, watched a lineman climb a pole, saw the inside of a transformer, learned all about their electric meters and even got to frame a pole.
